Wuppertal Zoo's 'Great Children's Festival' This Friday: Free Entry for Kids, Fun Activities
A large children's festival is set to take place at the Wuppertal Zoo this Friday, June 14, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Despite extensive searches, the event's organiser remains unclear. Children under 14 can enjoy free entry, while adults and youth aged 15 and above pay a 5 euro fee from 1:30 PM onwards.
The festival, titled 'The Great Children's Festival', promises a variety of engaging activities. The Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund ASB will educate young attendees about first aid and allow them to explore an ambulance. The German Lock and Hardware Museum from Velbert will offer lock-picking activities, providing a unique hands-on experience for the children.
Sports enthusiasts can look forward to activities on the Blumenrondell lawn, organised by local sports organisations. A Zoo Quiz, in collaboration with the Westdeutsche Zeitung, will test participants' knowledge, with an exclusive zoo tour as the grand prize. The Zoo Association Wuppertal e.V. will also host a lucky wheel, with other museums and organisations contributing to the festivities. The Sparda Bank-West will set up a 'Wildlife Photoshoot' in their photo booth, allowing children to capture memorable moments. Additionally, the Zoo School will have a 'Piggy Mess' station, educating visitors about various pig species and their behaviours.
Despite the organiser remaining unidentified, the Great Children's Festival at the Wuppertal Zoo promises a fun-filled day for children and adults alike. With free entry for children under 14, a variety of engaging activities, and an exclusive zoo tour up for grabs, this event is not to be missed.
