The Yeti Rambler Three Course Set
If you're the type to pull out one bowl for prepping, another for transporting, and a third for serving at the potluck, Yeti's Rambler Bowls are designed to handle all three, leaving you with fewer dishes to wash at the end of the day. I used mine to prep and eat pasta salad, and they saved me from having to switch to a separate serving bowl.
But don't get the wrong idea - these aren't just run-of-the-mill bowls with lids. The Rambler bowls feature double-wall vacuum insulation, which means they'll keep your hot meals hot and your cold dishes cool as a cucumber. The 1-quart size is great for individual use, but the 2-quart and 4.5-quart sizes are perfect for serving a crowd, whether it's chilled potato salad at your next cookout or buffalo chicken dip that stays hot through game day. The clear lids have a tight seal that locks the temperature in and keeps bugs out, making them a must-have for Southern summers.
One thing to keep in mind is that, unlike glass or plastic, stainless steel isn't microwave safe, so if you're planning on reheating leftovers at work, these bowls might not be your best bet. Yeti also doesn't recommend using them for storing warm leftovers in the fridge, as the vacuum insulation can actually result in rapid food spoilage. But when it comes to keeping food at the right temperature for lunches on the patio, picnics in the park, potlucks, or day trips, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better option.
Both the bowls and lids are dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. Yeti recommends removing the gasket and placing it in the utensil compartment of your dishwasher for a thorough clean. And the best part? They nest neatly inside each other, helping to save space and keep kitchen clutter to a minimum.
I tested the Three Course Set, which includes three bowls of different sizes, each with its own matching lid. The bowls are also sold individually. Yeti also offers the Rambler Low Bowls, which have a height of 2.3 inches compared to the standard 3.4 inches for the smallest size, making them ideal for saucy pasta dishes or any instance where you might ordinarily reach for a plate.
