Union Coop officially opens its contemporary shopping venue - Al Khawaneej Mall
Union Coop officially inaugurated the Al Khawaneej Mall, its latest project, situated in Al Khawaneej 2, Dubai. The modern shopping destination spans approximately 70,000 square feet and is part of Union Coop's expansion plan to cater to key residential areas and strategic locations across the emirate.
The architectural design of Al Khawaneej Mall boasts a contemporary aesthetic, prioritizing comfort, natural flow, and user-centric functionality. Wide circulation paths, natural lighting elements, and minimalist aesthetics are hub features that enhance convenience and visual appeal for shoppers.
The lynchpin of the development is a state-of-the-art hypermarket managed by Union Coop, complemented by a carefully curated mix of retail outlets, service centers, a children's nursery, and an ENOC service station. Abundant outdoor parking spaces ensure a smooth visitor experience.
The opening ceremony was graced by Majid Hamad Rahma Al Shamsi, chairman; Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop; Thilal Bin Quraish Alfalasi, support sector CEO assistant, among other dignitaries, employees, suppliers, strategic partners, and shoppers.
In his speech, Union Coop's CEO Al Hashemi emphasized that the project transcends the notion of a mere shopping center or mall, positioning it instead as a thoughtfully designed social-retail space designed to deliver an exceptional customer experience aligning with Dubai's state-of-art standards.
The mall showcases a diverse array of brands, restaurants, cafés, a currency exchange, and a bank, offering a comprehensive shopping, dining, and daily service destination under one roof. Constructed in accordance with international green building standards, it incorporates eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient technologies to minimize environmental impact and boost the indoor environment.
In a significant community contribution, AED 8 million from the mall's annual revenue will be earmarked for the maintenance and operations of 50 mosques across the city as part of Dubai's 'Mosques Endowment' campaign.
Specific opening hours have not been detailed, but malls in Dubai typically operate from around 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day. It is advised to check directly with the mall for accurate timings.
Visitors can inquire about the mall via Union Coop's official channels or visit the mall in person for further information.
