In an exciting initiative aimed at promoting greener living, the city of Gütersloh is offering 50 fruit trees at a reduced price of 20 euros each. The Regional Association for Gardening and Landscaping Westfalen-Lippe e.V. (Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe) is organising the sale, which will take place on Saturday, 22nd November, at Westring 119, Gütersloh.
Interested residents can submit their application forms via email to environment@ourwebsite. Orders can be placed immediately through the website www.nature.ourwebsite. Act fast, as the trees were all claimed within a few days last year.
Each participant will be assigned an individual time slot for pickup, and the distribution of the trees will be done on-site. The trees will be professionally pruned before distribution. To secure a tree, payment must be received in a timely manner. Those who pay on time will be guaranteed a tree, and if payment is not received in time, the next person on the waiting list will be contacted.
The offer includes a planting kit containing a stake, coconut string, and planting instructions. Additionally, tips on planting and caring for the trees will be provided. The GNU (Society for Nature and Environmental Protection in the Gütersloh District e.V.) will also be present to offer advice on creating a natural garden for more biodiversity.
The sale features eleven different varieties to choose from: six apple trees, two pear trees, one plum tree, one walnut tree, one chestnut tree, and one unspecified tree. It is recommended that interested parties indicate a second choice when ordering due to limited quantities of each variety.
For questions, contact Hans-Bernd Hensen from the environmental department at 05241 / 82-2084 or via email at environment@ourwebsite. The offer is available exclusively to residents of Gütersloh. The presence of the GNU aims to help create a more biodiverse garden for the residents of Gütersloh.
So, don't miss out on this opportunity to bring a piece of nature into your backyard and contribute to a greener and more biodiverse Gütersloh. Apply today!
