In the heart of Bavaria, Munich is preparing for another exciting Oktoberfest season. This year, a new addition to the festivities is a pilot project proposed to extend the operating hours of kindergarten playgrounds outside of regular school hours.

Meanwhile, the focus remains on the traditional aspects of the festival. The Braurosl, a ceremonial role in the Oktoberfest, has a new face for 2025. Ingrid Bohm, a 45-year-old local woman from Upper Bavaria, has been officially selected for the role.

Ingrid Bohm, who has a regular table in the Braurosl tent, has shown a deep connection to Bavarian tradition and culture, making her the perfect choice for the role. She will undergo training, including riding lessons, tapping training, and learning to properly dress for the Wirtshaus entry, to prepare for her new role.

The Braurosl role originated as the daughter of Rosi Pschorr, and it continues to be a highly respected position in the festival. The annual election of the Braurosl has been a tradition since Peter Reichert and Franziska Kohlpaintner took over the Braurosl tent and the Donisl in 2021.

Nine candidates applied to represent the Braurosl for the 2025 Oktoberfest. The candidates were scrutinized by a jury that included Corinna Binzer, who believes Ingrid Bohm has Oktoberfest in her heart, beer in her blood, and a strong representation of Bavarian heritage and tradition.

Other members of the jury included the Oktoberfest chief, Christian Scharpf, and entrepreneur Michaela Aschberger. The candidates were required to introduce themselves, answer questions, and pour a Mass to prove their qualifications for the role.

Ingrid Bohm's favorite tent is the Braurosl, and she is looking forward to being actively involved in the festival. She will represent the festival at various official events, using her good public speaking and presentation skills to maintain the spirit of tradition and culture.

The previous record Braurosl, Carlonie Weidner, stepped down in 2019 for health reasons after serving for 27 years. The snack bar at the Donisl, offering kebabs for one euro, is set to reopen this Friday.

For more detailed or official information about the Braurosl 2025, we recommend checking official Oktoberfest or Munich cultural websites for announcements closer to or during the festival season.

Ingrid Bohm, a 45-year-old local woman from Upper Bavaria, is not only set to have a regular table in the Braurosl tent for the upcoming Oktoberfest season, but she will also take on the traditional role of the Braurosl, a position that originated as the daughter of Rosi Pschorr and continues to be highly respected in the festival. Amidst the bustling preparations for the festivities, Ingrid Bohm's home-and-garden seems to be a reflection of her deep connection to Bavarian tradition and culture, making her lifestyle an integral part of her new role.
