The restaurant, barely a year old, appeared to be a local favorite. But, yet another place has stepped in to oust it.
The unfortunate victim was none other than Napa Deli, nestled in the shopping center beside Safeway and across from Rossmoor.
Napa Deli served up sandwiches, soups, pies, and all sorts of goodies. We were pleasantly surprised by it, but its downfall? The steep prices. One simple sandwich would set you back almost $20 at this branch of a North Bay deli.
That might've worked somewhere else, but it was likely a deal-breaker for thrifty Rossmoor and Walnut Creek residents.

It was far too sterile – not exactly a cozy spot to linger. And those prices... too steep!
