In the heart of Aachen, the Cultural Department, in collaboration with artistic director Stephan Wunsch, is presenting an exciting series of contemporary puppet theater performances at the Space of the Ludwig Forum on Jülicher Street. The "Animations" series promises a diverse exploration of puppetry, animation, and live performance, bringing to life a range of stories that captivate both children and adults alike.

The series kicks off on September 19 with "Dracula" by Philip Steman after Bram Stoker, a chilling adaptation of the classic horror novel. On the same day, at 3 PM, Torben Kuhlmann's "Armstrong - The Adventurous Journey of a Mouse to the Moon" will take young audiences on a thrilling ride to the stars.

On Friday, November 14, at 7:30 PM, theater-goers can experience "Gundermann - Angels over the Revier", a poignant production by Theater Korona. This performance offers a creative exploration of the life and legacy of the German singer-songwriter Gerhard Gundermann, known for his songs like "Gras", "Alle oder keiner", and "Engel über dem Revier". The production combines animated puppetry techniques with live music and storytelling to evoke the emotional resonance of Gundermann's songs and his connection to the Ruhr area.

The following day, on Saturday, November 15, at 3 PM, Laku Paka presents "Alfred in the Straw and Elsewhere". This heartwarming story follows Alfred, a bird with the strength and size of an eagle but behaves unconventionally for a chicken, and his friendship with a brave little hen named Rosi.

Each performance in the series places the animated figure at the center, offering a visually engaging and multi-sensory experience that brings these stories to life. For more information about the series and to book tickets, visit www.reservix.de.
