South Romania: Construction of a thrilling new adventure park commences at Băile Govora resort
Baile Govora, a resort renowned for its mineral waters beneficial for respiratory and rheumatic conditions in southern Romania, is set to welcome a new attraction. The resort will soon feature a state-of-the-art adventure park, as announced by Mihai Mateescu, the mayor of the resort.
The new park, slated for completion in 2029, will be a significant addition to the resort's offerings, aiming to complement spa tourism with a modern leisure component. The investment for this project exceeds EUR 6 million, funded by the European Investment Bank through the South-West Oltenia Regional Program.
The adventure park will offer a variety of exciting activities for visitors. It will include a zip line, an alpine coaster, and off-road bicycle tracks. To cater to a wider audience, the park will also feature a climbing wall, tubing for all seasons, relaxation areas, and playgrounds for children.
The design phase of the project was financed through the EU-funded Operational Program for Technical Assistance. On September 15, 2022, the execution contract for the project was signed by the Baile Govora City Hall.
