The SAT-4K screen utilises a seamless acoustically woven screen material designed specifically for 4K projection. It boasts a maximum seamless height of up to 15 feet 10 inches, with larger sizes available but with seams. The screen offers a gain of 1.18, providing bright, clear images, and a wide 160-degree viewing angle for broad audience viewing without image distortion.
Severtson Screens has made available various configurations for the SAT-4K screen, including Impression, Deluxe, and Deluxe Curved. Each configuration is designed to meet or exceed industry standards for optimal video and acoustic performance, delivering reference-quality digital image reproduction and true soundtrack fidelity. The screen is also flame and mildew resistant, ensuring durability and safety.
The TAT-4K screen, on the other hand, is made with a unique uniform pattern titanium-grey woven material that offers superior acoustic transparency and reduces audio/video scatter. Severtson's 4K thin bezel fixed frame screens feature a 3/8-inch thin bezel, maximising the viewing area and creating a sleek, modern appearance. Both SAT-4K and TAT-4K screen materials are available options for these fixed frame screens, designed for seamless integration of high-resolution 4K video with acoustically transparent audio setups.
In response to shipping and logistical issues, 6-piece frames will be the new standard moving forward, replacing 4-piece frames. However, 4-piece frames will still be available on custom orders, with a lead time. The new 2.39 drawings for the screens are currently available on Severtson's website, marking a shift in the aspect ratio of Severtson screens from 2.35:1 to 2.39:1 as the standard.
