Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, and his wife, Princess Kate, are moving to a new residence in pursuit of a 'fresh beginning'.

Royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton are moving to a new residence, signaling a new chapter in their lives.

The Wales family, comprising Prince William, Princess Catherine, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have announced their plans to relocate later this year from Adelaide Cottage to Forest Lodge within Windsor Great Park. This move marks a fresh start and a new chapter for the family, as they prepare to assume the roles of King and Queen.

The move to Forest Lodge will not be utilizing taxpayer funds for expenses such as renovations, as the royal family is financing the move, renovations, and related costs themselves. The Prince and Princess of Wales have been considering moving to larger properties due to increasing royal duties and their children's growing age.

Forest Lodge, a Grade II-listed estate, boasts eight bedrooms, stables, and a tennis court. The move to this property is expected to be the royal family's forever home, signifying their intention to settle long-term and avoid residences such as Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle.

The decision to relocate was primarily driven by the need for a larger, permanent family home with controlled privacy and security. Forest Lodge offers more space compared to Adelaide Cottage, where the family has lived since 2022. To maximize privacy and security, two families living in cottages adjacent to Forest Lodge were asked to vacate their Crown Estate rental properties. Enhanced privacy measures, like fences and shrubbery, have been added to Forest Lodge to address concerns from nearby residents about reduced privacy compared to Adelaide Cottage.

The estimated market value of Forest Lodge is £16 million. The move may provide an opportunity for the Wales family to leave some of their more unhappy memories behind, as they embark on this new chapter in their lives.

In other news, the book "The Diana Chronicles" by royal author correspondent Robert Jobson, which details the Princess of Wales' journey from university undergraduate to the Princess of Wales, has been a Sunday Times bestseller. The book provides an insightful look into the life of the late Princess Diana and her impact on the royal family.

After their move, the Wales family will not have live-in staff, and the move is not expected to be influenced by live-in staff either. This move signifies a shift towards a more private and family-focused lifestyle for the royal couple.

The Wales family had initially considered moving to Fort Belvedere, a gothic 18th century castle in Windsor Great Park, but ultimately decided on Forest Lodge as their preferred residence. This move represents an exciting new phase for the Wales family, as they prepare to take on their royal duties and establish their permanent home within Windsor Great Park.
