ROHL & Paisa4Plates Launch Initiative to Fight Hunger & Homelessness in India

Royal Orchid Hotels (ROHL) and Paisa4Plates charity movement have joined forces to launch an innovative initiative aimed at tackling hunger and homelessness in India. The program, inspired by the successful Pounds4Plates movement in London, will roll out across over 120 ROHL hotels in late 2025.

The initiative, spearheaded by Youth MP for Hampshire, Aryaveer Baljee, introduces a voluntary giving model. Guests staying at ROHL hotels will have the option to contribute 0.5% of their bill to support local charities focused on hunger and homelessness. The program is designed to be sustainable and low-barrier, with hotels acting as facilitators.

The initiative is set to collaborate with local NGOs and food banks for its expansion in India. Akshaya Patra Foundation and Magic Bus are among the planned non-governmental organizations that will work alongside Paisa4Plates and ROHL. Each hotel will choose a local charity to support with the voluntary contributions.

The Paisa4Plates initiative, inspired by its London counterpart, aims to foster empathy and consciousness among hotel guests while addressing critical issues in India. With over 120 ROHL hotels participating, the program is expected to make a significant impact in supporting local charities and communities across the country.
