Revitalized Journey: Landshut Returns to the STADTRADELN 2025 Pathway
The Landshut district is inviting everyone to join the STADTRADELN action, a campaign aimed at promoting cycling as a sustainable and active mode of transport. Regardless of cycling speed or experience, everyone is welcome to participate.
This year, the initiative has been spearheaded by André von Mesenkampff, the district's climate protection manager, who is stepping down from his role to take on new tasks. The action is scheduled to run from June 22 to July 12, 2025.
The RADar! platform, a key component in the district's cycle traffic promotion, plays a significant role in the STADTRADELN action. This digital platform is free to use and allows cyclists to submit tips on cycle paths and infrastructure to municipalities, helping to improve cycling conditions in the district.
Registration for the action is free and can be done online at [www.stadtradeln.de/landkreis-landshut]. Participants can also register through the STADTRADELN app, which automatically tracks kilometers. Registration can be done individually or in teams, such as from companies, families, school classes, or sports groups.
The most active individual cyclist in the action will receive a €200 voucher, while a further €200 will be drawn among all participants. The team with the most total kilometers will receive €300, and the team with the most kilometers per capita will also receive €300. All prizes are redeemable in the form of vouchers at local bike shops.
Landrat Peter Dreier is looking forward to the new round of the STADTRADELN action. To kick off the event, there will be a car-free Sunday in Ergolding on June 22, where the STADTRADELN action will have its official kick-off event. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
