The Bromley Pageant of Motoring Returns with a Bang at a New Venue

After a hiatus in 2024, the Bromley Pageant of Motoring made a triumphant comeback in 2025 at the South of England Showground near Ardingly, West Sussex. The classic vehicle show, with a history spanning over 40 years at Norman Park, Bromley, was forced to relocate due to the expansion of London's Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).

The event saw a variety of vehicles, from a Honda NSX to a line-up of Land Rovers, and an impressive 2,500 cars, which is 500 more than the last two events at the previous location. The layout remained similar, with a bustling live action arena, huge car club areas, and the return of the one-make parking area.

Club displays were widespread and varied, featuring the Historic Commercial Vehicle Society, Southside Motorsport, Stag Owners' Club's South East London branch, TVRCC's Selkent region, Vauxhall Cresta Club, BMW South East Enthusiasts, and numerous Ford, Mini, and MG clubs. Rarities in the one-make area included a Datsun 160B from the Netherlands and a Marina with a supercharged, diesel B-Series motor.

The Alfa Romeo Owners' Club was awarded the coveted Best Club accolade, while the 1986 Audi Quattro 10V belonging to Gary Dyer won the Best in Show award. The Norfolk Pavilion hosted several further retailers, including our own platform stand.

Despite some teething troubles with traffic and the bike show causing minor issues, the day was a sterling comeback for the Bromley Pageant of Motoring. The event's future looks bright, with camping options introduced and ticket sales actively promoted, including club discounts and early bird offers aimed at keeping the event accessible and engaging.

Looking ahead, the Bromley Pageant of Motoring seems set to continue growing at Ardingly, with the spacious setting likely to accommodate further growth while preserving the event’s classic motoring heritage and community spirit. We're already looking forward to the Bromley Pageant of Motoring in 2026.
