In a unique and intriguing ceremony, Tabea Kälber and Benjamin Stumpe were initiated into the Fasnet club Dennacher Troll. The event, known as the "masked dusting," took place on Three Kings Day and marked the end of the Fasnacht season for many places in the Enzkreis.

The initiates, Tabea Kälber and Benjamin Stumpe, prepared for their entry by attaching their running numbers to the left sleeve of their shirts. Despite the limited visibility, Tabea demonstrated her quick and secure sewing skills, while Benjamin showed off his dexterity by threading the needle for attaching his number.

The ceremony was conducted in a manner that involved dressing in the dark, a tradition upheld by the Fasnet club Dennacher Troll. The initiates could not see anything while putting on their costumes in a large box lined with white sheets. The audience, however, could view the proceedings as the box was lit from behind.

After attaching their numbers and reciting an oath of loyalty, Tabea Kälber and Benjamin Stumpe received their wooden masks from Jürgen Mennicke, the first chairman of the Fasnet club Dennacher Troll. The club, which now boasts 38 members, with 22 members possessing a wooden mask and costume, held the ceremony under the motto "First the work, then the fun."

The Narrenzunft Gengenbach, the name of the carnival club that Tabea Kälber and Benjamin Stumpe joined, welcomed the new members in front of all visitors. Pictures of the event are available for those who missed out on witnessing this unique ceremony firsthand.

With the initiation of Tabea Kälber and Benjamin Stumpe, the Fasnet club Dennacher Troll continues to grow and uphold the traditions of the Fasnacht season.
