The Repair Café Wambel is set to host a special event on September 26th, offering free smartphone and mobile phone consultations from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This service, provided in partnership with youngcaritas Dortmund, will take place at the Ev. Jakobus Gemeindehaus, Eichendorffstraße 31.
For those seeking advice, registrations can be made from Monday, September 22nd, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, through the Brackel Senior Office. The consultation will be held in a protected room between those seeking advice and a senior office employee.
The Repair Café is not just limited to smartphone consultations. It also offers repairs for a variety of items, including electrical kitchen appliances, sewing machines, lamps, textiles, bicycles, and more. Items for repair should be registered within the first hour (4:00 - 5:00 PM).
Functional devices collected during the Repair Café will be put to further use, and the valuable raw materials of discarded phones will be recycled. This initiative is part of the Deutsche Telekom collection action under the motto "The Second Chance for Your Phone".
The proceeds from the collected devices will flow into projects for nature and environmental protection or social projects of the cooperation partners of the Handysammelcenter.
While waiting for your repair, you can enjoy a cup of coffee, some cake/pastries, engage in pleasant conversations, or even visit the community-owned library 'Die Leseratte'. The Brackel Senior Office also offers counseling on topics related to aging at home and relief for relatives from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
