In a move to bring more playful experiences into daily life, Mondelez International, the global snacking powerhouse behind beloved brands like OREO, Milka, Philadelphia, TUC, and Toblerone, has partnered with 'A Minecraft Film'. This partnership will offer customers an exciting AR experience in selected supermarkets.
The collaboration, which also includes the launch of four special edition cookies with symbols inspired by 'A Minecraft Film', aims to make snacking fun. By biting the cookie into a square and scanning it with a phone, customers unlock an AR online experience where they can search for hidden film elements and win exclusive OREO x 'A Minecraft FILM' prizes. This includes the chance to play exciting mini-quests with various creatures from the film and even win cinema tickets.
'A Minecraft Movie', produced by Vertigo Entertainment/On The Roam/Mojang Studios and directed by Jared Hess, is a film set to be released exclusively in theaters and IMAX on April 3, 2025, with a North American release date of April 4, 2025. The film will be distributed in China by Legendary East, and Warner Bros. Pictures will handle distribution in the rest of the world.
