Discover the beauty and wildlife of Lackford Lakes Nature Reserve with guided walks, as part of the upcoming Welcome Day event. Visitors can join the Warden at scheduled times (10:30 or 14:00) to explore the reserve and learn about its fascinating inhabitants.

Event Details

The guided walks will take place at the Lackford Lakes Nature Reserve & Visitor Centre, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP28 6HX. The meeting point will be at the Visitor Centre.

Booking is essential for these walks, and costs £5 per person. However, the fee is refundable if you become a Suffolk Wildlife Trust member on the day; it's free for members.

Expert wildlife guides will be on hand to assist with spotting and identifying wildlife. The event also offers a variety of facilities, including a café with options suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten allergies.

Accessibility and Additional Information

Only assistance dogs are allowed on trails except for the Sayer's Breck trail, where all dogs on leads are permitted. Binoculars and wildlife activity sheets can be hired or picked up for family enjoyment.
