MoMA Hünfeld Presents 'Nevertheless', Suscha Korte's Powerful Exploration of Human Emotions
The Museum of Modern Art in Hünfeld has opened a major special exhibition, 'Nevertheless', featuring works by renowned artist Suscha Korte. The exhibition, which runs until the end of the year, explores human feelings and emotions through a collection of thought-provoking pieces.
Korte's artworks often focus on human emotions, with people rarely appearing in her pictures and objects. Instead, she uses everyday items like dishes, especially those labeled 'for good', to represent dashed hopes and unfulfilled dreams. Written words, such as graffiti quotes or neon signs, also play a recurring role in her works, provoking thought and introspection.
One notable installation, 'Room without protection', explores the feeling of having no retreat. The exhibition's title, 'Nevertheless', is a homage to real life and a call for courage, bravery, and optimism in the face of adversity. Korte describes her works as 'empty portraits', using these objects to symbolize humanity in all its complexities.
The exhibition, curated by Astrid Hühn, offers visitors a chance to engage with Korte's unique perspective on the human experience. An artist talk with Suscha Korte will take place on Sunday, October 5th, at 3:30 PM at the museum, providing an opportunity to learn more about her creative process and inspiration.
