Mobile Audiowalk of "No Ship Will Come," originally located at Bremen's overseas port, to be available soon in a portable format.
On Sunday, October 20, at 3:30 PM, the Blue Manege in Bremen will host the official launch of the mobile version of the highly anticipated interactive audio walk, "No Ship Will Come". This event marks the permanent availability of the audio walk to the public, following its premiere in 2023.
Directed, produced, and performed by Katrin Bretschneider, with sound design by Ilona Marti, and dramaturgy by Christina Vogelsang and Verena Ries, "No Ship Will Come" is the second part of the series "Bremen Places in Radical Change". The series focuses on locations significant to Bremen's society in recent history, with the first part, "Shaking Hands with Ghosts", already available as a mobile version.
The audio walk takes participants on a journey through the Overseas Port, which was filled with several million cubic meters of sand in 1998, marking the beginning of the urban development project "Overseas Town". The mobile version can be experienced via mobile phone, internet, or app, and it is recommended to download the audio walk in advance and use good headphones for the best experience.
Interested citizens are welcome to attend the launch event at the Blue Manege, located at Kommodore-Johnsen-Boulevard 19, Bremen. For more information about the audio walks, please visit www.katrin-bretschneider.de. The audio walk "No Ship Will Come" can also be found at www.guidemate.com.
