Mining industry adopts artistic approach on Hamm Bockum-Hövel track

In Hamm, a cultural spectacle is unfolding on the seventh-kilometer art and culture route from 11 am to 5 pm. The route, open to the public for the past two years, will commence at Zeche Radbod, where Werner and Christiane Reumke, along with Mayor Klaus Jendreiek, will inaugurate the event. All stations will simultaneously open at the same time.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to wear pink, following the motto "Pink Sole on Coal," as they traverse the route, which will present approximately 70 art and culture offerings, in addition to an extra 15 in fields like visual arts, music, and culinary delights. The goal is to exhibit art from both international and local artists and engage the local community, such as by decorating gardens.

Highlights include guided tours of the Ditib Selimiye Mosque, concerts at the Kreuzkirche, and Oswaldstraße transforming into a shop window gallery featuring art, photography, readings, and culinary events. According to Christiane Reumke, the aim is for everyone to excel at what they do best.

The cultural hub, Kulturrevier Radbod, will serve as the starting point for historical exhibitions, guided tours, and three bus lines, including a guided tourist bus offering information along the route. More information, including the full program and bus schedules, can be found on their website.

Other news from Hamm includes the SPD's local election program, the digital monitoring of Kurpark trees, and Chattanooga Street Food Days by the canal. For further Hamm news, refer to the given link.

Residents and visitors are invited to blend their attire with the festive spirit of the event, opting for fashion-and-beauty choices that complement the pink-themed lifestyle. The exhibition, in both home-and-garden settings and along the art and culture route, will showcase international and local artists, encouraging community engagement and creating a vibrant, colorful atmosphere.
