Luxurious Estate Connected to Kanye West Hits the Market for $17 Million
In the guard-gated community of Hidden Hills, California, a modern equestrian estate designed by architect Jae Omar and developed by H2 Development is making headlines. Once owned by Kanye West, the residence, now known as "Three Planes," is an 11,000 to 11,500-square-foot home that offers a unique blend of luxury and natural charm.
The estate, priced at just under $17 million, was previously owned by Kanye West. He acquired the property in 2021 for $4.5 million, but sold it two years later for $4.25 million, incurring a quarter-million-dollar loss. The old house was torn down to make way for the more ambitious project that stands today.
Three Planes draws inspiration from the cosmology of the Chumash people, a Native American tribe native to the California region. The design concept reflects the Chumash belief in three interconnected spiritual realms—the sky, earth, and underworld—and integrates natural materials, rich wood, stone finishes, and outdoor amenities including a horse stable.
The estate measures 11,000 square feet and sits on an acre of land. The house boasts formal living and dining rooms, a dedicated wellness and entertainment wing with a gym, private spa, media room, and wet bar, and a kitchen equipped with top-tier materials and appliances that connects to a generous breakfast nook and walk-in pantry.
Outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool and spa, firepit, outdoor kitchen, yoga deck, and a detached horse stable. The estate's design features a bold facade with Shou Sugi Ban charred wood siding, Santa Barbara stone cladding, and hand-applied plaster.
Interestingly, previous works of Jae Omar have attracted interest from celebrities like DJ Zedd, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, Meghan Trainor, Cardi B, and Offset. The architect's latest project, a modern equestrian estate in Vail, CO, is a car collector's dream home, priced at $27,000,000 USD.
During his ownership, the estate was located across from the sprawling estate he once shared with Kim Kardashian. In 2014, the Hidden Hills home that Kim Kardashian still lives in was originally purchased by her and Kanye West as a couple for $20 million. The home has undergone extensive renovation and expansion, and during their divorce, Kim Kardashian bought the Hidden Hills home from Kanye West for $23 million.
