Intersection Closure Announced in Astana: Prepare for Another Traffic Disruption
In Astana city, starting from 9 PM on the 13th of May until 7 AM on the 14th, the intersection where Abylai Khan Avenue meets B. Maylin Street will be off-limits for traffic, as per the city's administration's warning.
The Transport Department and Road Infrastructure Development of Astana have announced that this closure is due to the commencement of medium repairs on the road surface at the stated intersection.
So, from 9 PM on the 13th (Tuesday), until 7 AM on the 14th (Wednesday), expect a complete blockade of traffic.
Due to this disruption, drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to plan their routes mindfully and factor in potential traffic reorganizations.
Safety precautions will be ensured with the installation of temporary signs and indicators to minimize any inconvenience.
The message from the department concludes by requesting understanding from the public as they navigate around the city during these changes.
Earlier, plans for medium repairs on a part of Kaldayakov Street in Astana from May 14 to May 25, with partial vehicle restrictions, were announced. Similarly, from May 12 to May 15, there will be partial traffic restrictions on F. Abdulaziz and S. Kojakhmetov streets, from Sh. Beysembayev to K. Baiseitov.
Recently, the medium repair of Zhumabayev Avenue has started in Astana, leading to traffic restrictions on one of the sections until May 19. Keep in mind that there are also ongoing construction activities that will affect traffic, such as the closure of a section of Tauyelsizdik Avenue for medium-level repairs from May 15 to May 20[1].
