Cafe Murano Marylebone Opens Fourth London Location

Cafe Murano, the much-anticipated fourth London location by renowned English chef Angela Hartnett, is now open. Situated in the heart of Marylebone, at 52-55 Dorset St, London W1U 7NQ, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience that combines Hartnett's signature Italian flavors with a casual, welcoming ambiance.

The new Cafe Murano is one of the few restaurants to hold 4 AA rosettes, a testament to its exceptional culinary offerings. The menu, inspired by Northern Italy and Hartnett's family heritage, features a short, regularly changing selection of fresh, regional, and classic dishes. Signature dishes include Porchetta tonnato with caperberries and rocket, gnocchi with slow-braised rabbit and mint pangratatto, Chicken Milanese with rocket and parmesan salad, and desserts like lemon polenta cake with mascarpone cream.

The Marylebone branch also features exclusive dishes such as half chicken Salmoriglio with a zesty lemon, garlic, and herb sauce and rigatoni al ragù bianco, a white Bolognese-style pasta. For breakfast, Cafe Murano serves fresh and zesty dishes such as grilled sweet peaches with yoghurt and toasted maple nuts, and smoked trout crostini with bottarga, fennel and chives.

The atmosphere at Cafe Murano Marylebone is intimate, homely, and unfussy, with a warm, contemporary design that reflects the charm of the Marylebone neighborhood. The dining space is decorated with paintings, warm lighting, knick-knacks, and personal touches such as portraits of Hartnett's dogs and framed cookbooks. The restaurant aims to evoke the feeling of an honest Italian family kitchen, making it suitable for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.

Cafe Murano Marylebone, which opens its doors on July 26th, also hopes to feature a pasta shop similar to its Covent Garden location and has space for a small terrace. Hartnett's culinary journey was inspired by the food of her Italian grandmother and mother, and this passion is evident in the menu at Cafe Murano Marylebone, which showcases Italy's regional culinary diversity.

Cafe Murano Marylebone is a more casual sibling to Hartnett's Michelin-starred Mayfair restaurant, Murano. Despite its more relaxed atmosphere, the quality of the food remains exceptional, making it an ideal destination for authentic yet approachable Italian cuisine in central London.
