Infinity Lisbon Gets State-of-the-Art EV Charging System
The Infinity residential complex in Lisbon, Portugal, has received a state-of-the-art intelligent charging management system for electric cars. The system, delivered and installed by Webasto, consists of 200 VersiCharge wallboxes and an advanced management system from Siemens Smart Infrastructure. This marks a significant step towards sustainable living in the city's tallest residential building.
Siemens' engineering and software teams in Portugal customized the integrated EV charging solution. It allows for dynamic and intelligent on-site charging management, providing precise reports per apartment based on monthly consumption. This data facilitates optimization of the building's energy performance.
The system features the latest cybersecurity functionalities and supports global climate targets. It includes intuitive dashboards that offer comprehensive information about each charger and monitor energy consumption in real time. The 200 VersiCharge wallboxes are distributed across six charging islands, spanning three floors of the Infinity building.
Looking ahead, the energy management system is designed to accommodate future integration of photovoltaic or other renewable energy generation, as well as energy storage systems. This forward-thinking approach aligns with Vanguard Properties' commitment to sustainability.
Vanguard Properties, the owner of the Infinity building, collaborated with Siemens to create a sustainable living space for the future. José Cardoso Botelho, CEO of Vanguard Properties, emphasized the considerable environmental and social impact of real estate activity. With this intelligent charging management system, the Infinity complex sets a new standard for sustainable urban living in Lisbon.
