Guidance for Novices and Experts in Studying Bird Walks

Got a hankering for some birdwatching? Spring's here, and it's the perfect time to sport those binoculars and dip your toes into the feathered world! Whether you're a rookie or a seasoned bird-spotter, there are two tempting nature walks that'll be taking place on March 15th and 16th. Let's break it down:

On Saturday, march 15th, at 10 am sharp, NABU Bremen-Nord invites bird enthusiasts, new and old, to the event "Absolute Beginner" led by ornithologist Kyra Behrje. Although you don't have to be a bird expert to attend, an eagerness to learn is an absolute must! The Grambker Sportparksee, teeming with ducks, provides the perfect spot for observation. Ducks, known for their static, leisurely demeanor, ensure that all participants have ample time to get a good look. Darken your car at the car park of 1. FC Burg, "An der Kleinen Geest" to join the festivities.

But don't let the winged wonders of Saturday pass you by! On Sunday, at 10 am, you'll want to be at the "Spring of Birds in Schoenebeck". This one's for both beginners and pros, as everything with feathers will be on the agenda. Armed with interesting facts about woodpeckers, tits, and garden birds, participants will be led on a relaxing walk around Schoenebeck Castle. With a dash of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of a kingfisher! Throw in your binoculars if you've got 'em. The gathering spot is the car park at Schloss Schoenebeck, Im Dorfe 3.

All this birding fun will come with a price tag of €5 for NABU members and €10 for everyone else. So, don't be a chicken, register today at [email protected] to secure your spot!

Oh, and here's a little-known secret: that feathered fellow in the image is actually a great spotted woodpecker. Fascinating, huh? Keep on birding, folks!
