Greifswald Celebrates 775th Anniversary with 'Greifswald 775' Art Exhibition
The St. Spiritus Socio-Cultural Center is set to host an impressive art exhibition, 'Greifswald 775', to celebrate the city's anniversary. Around 120 artworks, ranging from photos to ceramics, will be on display. The event kicks off on August 20, with openings at 6:00 PM in the Kleine Rathausgalerie and 7:00 PM at St. Spiritus. Entry is free, and visitors can vote for their favorite pieces to be featured as postcards.
The exhibition, which runs from August 21 to September 26, will be held in two parts: at St. Spiritus and the Kleine Rathausgalerie. Center director Imke Freiberg expressed delight at the response, praising the creativity and connection of Greifswald residents. The event will culminate in a screen printing action with a Greifswald motif on September 25, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at St. Spiritus.
The artworks on display will include a diverse range of mediums and skill levels, showcasing the talent and passion of Greifswald's artistic community.
