Summer Events in Dinkelsbühl, Aalen, Lorch, and Stötlen (August 10-18, 2025)

"Music Week for Young People" Closing Concert

The week will culminate with the closing concert of the "Music Week for Young People" on Sunday, August 10, at 7 pm, taking place at Lorch Abbey Church. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. The concert will be preceded by a church service, making for a spiritual start to the evening.

"Summer Breeze" Festival in Dinkelsbühl

From Wednesday, August 13, to Sunday, August 16, the "Summer Breeze" festival will take over Dinkelsbühl. This metal-focused event features a diverse lineup, including "Machine Head", "Gojira", "Blind Guardian", and "In Extremo". Besides the headliners, expect performances from various other artists and genres, such as trash metal and medieval rock.

48th St. Leonhard's Festival in Stötlen

The 48th St. Leonhard's Festival will run from Friday, August 15, to Monday, August 18, in Stötlen. While details are still forthcoming, the festival is expected to attract 10,000 visitors and feature a variety of events, including a prize-winning Schafkopf card game tournament, musical performances, and a grand finale fireworks display (weather permitting).

Star Picnic at Fachsenfeld Castle

On Saturday, August 16, a star picnic is scheduled at Fachsenfeld Castle, coinciding with the Perseid meteor shower. Tickets can be purchased at the Aalen Tourist Information.

Festival Kick-off and Other Activities

The festival will kick off with the tapping of the keg on Friday evening.
