Giessen Senior Fair 2025: 'Growing Older Together' on Oct 11
The 'Round Table - Growing Older in Giessen' is set to host the Giessen Senior Fair 2025 on Saturday, October 11, at the Congress Hall. The event, themed 'Growing Older Together - Informed, Engaged, and Active', aims to provide senior citizens and their families with transparent and suitable offers. Admission is free, and the fair is fully accessible with sign language interpretation available.
The fair will kick off with an opening ceremony led by Social Affairs Commissioner Francesco Arman and the Giessen Senior Choir. Throughout the day, visitors can explore an exhibition showcasing local providers offering services in health, leisure, care, daily living aids, safety, precautions, and inheritances.
A 'Street of Engagement' will highlight local initiatives and associations offering activities for senior citizens. For those interested in repairs, a Repair Café will be available for small electronic device fixes. Additionally, a Rollator Parkour will assist visitors with mobility aids. An exciting framework program includes line dance, seated dance, and refreshments in the bistro.
The Giessen Senior Fair 2025 seeks to foster a new culture of aging and promote self-determined life for seniors. By providing transparent offers and engaging activities, the fair encourages seniors to stay informed, engaged, and active. The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm, with free admission and barrier-free access.
