Festivities commence at Cranger Fair in Herne, marking a significant event for emerging victors
Cranger Kirmes 2025 Kicks Off in Herne with Exciting New Attractions
The Cranger Kirmes, one of Germany's biggest funfairs, has officially begun in Herne, attracting a large crowd of eager visitors. The event, which runs until August 10, is set to draw around four million visitors over the next eleven days.
This year's Cranger Kirmes is particularly exciting with several new attractions making their debut. Among these are "Freddy's Company" ghost train and "Hell Ride 2.0" roller coaster, both of which are set to thrill attendees.
But the highlight of the new attractions is undoubtedly "Konga" by Küchenmeister. Known for its airtime and excitement, "Konga" is a major new addition to the fair and will run from July 31 to August 10. Another notable new ride is "Infinity" by Hoefnagels.
Alexander Neumann, a native resident of Herne and the city administrator in Herne, is the fairground manager for the first time. He gave the green light for the setup of several attractions, including a children's merry-go-round. There were initial issues with a mast blocking the setup of a pizza booth, but these have been successfully resolved.
The official opening of the Cranger Kirmes will take place on Friday, with Herne's Mayor Frank Dudda and Deputy Chancellor Lars Klingbeil tapping the first keg in the festival tent. The fairground manager and his colleague, Nicole Schlingmann, use a small yellow Golf cart to quickly cover long distances on the fairground.
In addition to the new attractions, the Cranger Kirmes features a large assortment of traditional rides, games, and food stalls. Two Ferris wheels will be on the grounds of the fair for the first time, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Showwoman Ernie Fichna, who runs a food stand on Crange, thinks Alexander Neumann has passed the test. With the success of the first day of the Cranger Kirmes, it seems that the new fairground manager has done an excellent job.
