Festivities commemorating Russia Day will take place in the central plaza of the metropolis
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the vibrant capital city of the Kamchatka Region, is gearing up for an unforgettable Russia Day celebration on June 12, 2025. The main city square will transform into a bustling hub of cultural activities, interactive zones, and family-friendly entertainment.
The day's festivities will kick off with an official opening ceremony from 13:00 to 13:30, followed by a concert program titled "#WeAreRussia", showcasing patriotic songs and performances by creative groups from 13:30 to 15:00. A Russian Folk Stage will take centre stage from 16:00 to 17:00, featuring a special block of folk activities.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich history and traditions of Russia's peoples at the Russian Culture Festival and National Cultures Festival. The festive market will offer themed treats and souvenirs, making it an ideal spot for shopping and sampling local delicacies.
For the little ones, an "Children's Fun" zone will provide entertainment, ensuring a memorable day for all ages. The Kamchatka Center for Social Assistance to Families and Children, "Семья" (Family), will also be open for visitors from 13:00 to 17:00.
The "City of Military Glory" stele will serve as the focal point of the celebrations, with Russian flag ribbons being distributed to the public from 12:30 to 13:00.
A point for selecting contract service personnel, including the Rosgvardia Management for Kamchatka Krai's information point, will be operational from 13:00 to 17:00.
Please note that access to the Center for Water Rescue and Safety (GIMC) building at 5 Ozerovaya Kosa Street will be temporarily restricted from 11:00 to 17:30 due to the celebration on June 12. Visitors are advised to choose alternative routes in advance.
