Woman Ejected from Musilac Festival for Using "Pee Stand"

A woman named Julia was ejected from the Musilac festival in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie, on July 10. The incident, which occurred around 9:30 PM, was reported by ICI Pays de Savoie on July 24.

Julia, who was using a "pee stand" - a device that allows one to urinate standing up - in the festival's urinals, was asked to leave by security agents due to her use of the device. However, there are no specific regulations mentioned in the search results regarding the use of "pee stands" at the Musilac festival in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie.

The woman believes the security agents' reaction was disproportionate and that she was just using the toilet. She did not receive a response from the festival organizers until being contacted by the media. The woman contacted the festival organizers the next day but did not receive a response.

According to Julia's testimony, which was included in the ICI Pays de Savoie report, the security agents told her and her friends that as women, they had no business at the festival. This statement was met with resistance from Julia's friend, who tried to intervene during the ejection, resulting in both friends being ejected from the festival.

The Libération newspaper also reported on the incident, with Julia telling them that the security agents' reaction was disproportionate. The festival organizers did not wish to comment further on the matter when contacted by ICI Pays de Savoie.

However, the situation took a turn when Julia posted about the incident on social media and was contacted by the media. This led to a call back from the festival organizers, but no further details were disclosed.

Julia spoke with two young women from the festival who offered to refund her ticket. Despite the incident, Julia remains hopeful that the festival organizers will take steps to ensure such incidents do not happen in the future.

In light of the incident at the Musilac festival, Julia advocates for a more inclusive and sustainable-living approach at future events, given the controversy surrounding her ejection for using a home-and-garden device in the festival's men's restroom. Some French festivals and lifestyle enthusiasts might take inspiration from Julia's call for change and foster a more welcoming environment, such as embracing French home-and-garden design elements to create gender-neutral facilities for all attendees, thus promoting a more sustainable living experience.
