The Stuttgart House of History is set to host an intriguing exhibition titled "Free Swimming - Together?!", starting next week. This event, co-organized by the association Get Naked Germany, promises to be a thought-provoking exploration of societal attitudes, moral views, body awareness, and tolerance.

Tickets for the exhibition have sold out due to high demand, indicating a strong interest in this unique event. The exhibition runs until September 14 and takes place over two evenings, allowing visitors to attend without clothes, except for shoes.

The exhibition delves into the subject of public baths as a reflection of society. It includes Skinny dipping and FKK (Free Body Culture), aiming to challenge societal prejudices and promote inclusivity. The organisers advocate for nudity to be seen as nothing special and no longer linked to sexual acts in society.

Get Naked Germany, the co-organiser of the event, promotes the idea that nudity is the natural state of humans. They believe that this exhibition will help to normalise nudity in public spaces.

Joachim Rüeck, the museum spokesperson and also the spokesperson for the House of History Baden-Württemberg, has been instrumental in the planning and promotion of this unusual museum visit.

A guided tour is planned on August 30, and a word art action is scheduled two weeks later. No program will be held on the evenings of the naked visit to ensure a focus on the exhibition itself.

The exhibition features over 200 objects and photos, making it a comprehensive exploration of the themes it presents. Similar offers have been successful in cities such as Paris, Marseille, Brussels, and Hannover, indicating a growing interest in such events.

However, it's important to note that recent search results do not indicate that nude museum visits are becoming a trend in Europe or that the Stuttgart House of History is an example of this. The available sources discuss various art exhibitions primarily in London, Greece, and other locations in August 2025, focusing on themes ranging from portraiture and abstract eroticism to fashion and sculpture, but none mention nude museum visits or the Stuttgart House of History hosting such events.

Despite this, the "Stuttgarter Nachrichten" and the "Stuttgarter Zeitung" had previously reported on the event, signalling local interest and support.

This exciting exhibition promises to be a unique and thought-provoking experience, challenging societal norms and promoting inclusivity. If you're in the Stuttgart area, don't miss out on this opportunity to be a part of history!
