EVH Launches Halplus BaumBonus: Planting Trees, Protecting Climate and Biodiversity
EVH GmbH has launched an environmental campaign, Halplus BaumBonus, contributing to climate protection and biodiversity. The company is supporting the purchase of native trees, with EVH contributing €10 for each tree bought at €20. The action runs from 1 September 2025 to 30 June 2026.
EVH's commitment to the environment is evident in their recent donations. The company donated ten trees to kindergartens and elementary schools in Halle, with 40 institutions applying for one. Among the recipients was the Eigen-Sinn kindergarten, an integrative kindergarten for 70 children, including those with special educational needs. The kindergarten chose a self-pollinating pear tree to set a sign for climate and sustainability, and to teach children about nature's importance.
EVH CEO Olaf Schneider personally handed over the tree to the Eigen-Sinn kindergarten. The tree will contribute to binding CO2, providing oxygen, and bringing new experiences to the kindergarten's daily life. This initiative aligns with EVH's broader commitment to climate protection and supporting the energy transition towards climate neutrality by 2045. Earlier this year, EVH planted 3,000 young trees in the Dölauer Heide, demonstrating the benefits of trees for water and air filtration, CO2 binding, and animal habitats.
EVH's Halplus BaumBonus action is a significant step towards climate protection and biodiversity. By supporting the purchase of native trees and donating trees to educational institutions, EVH is not only binding CO2 but also educating the next generation about the importance of nature and sustainability.
