Kickin' Off the Rose Garden Soirees: King Charles & Queen Camilla's Swanky Bash!
Kicked off the garden party season with a bash - Enjoying the height of garden parties' season.
Let's not beat around the bush
The first gardening gala of the year at the grand ol' Buckingham Palace took place on May 7th, hosted by King Charles the IIIrd (76) and his dazzling queen, Queen Camilla (77), along with other regal organization heads.
Under the sunny skies, King Charles made his debut in a slick grey cutaway suit alongside a black top hat – abiding by the timeless garden party dress code for the gents that prefers cutaways or suits. Ladies are expected to dazzle in dresses accessorized with hats or fascinators, or adorn impressive national traditions or uniforms.
With her flair for fashion, Queen Camilla turned heads in a striking teal ensemble by Christian Dior and a Philip Treacy wide-brimmed hat, as reported by "People". It looked like the couple coordinated their outfits, as Camilla's ensemble matched Charles' blue waistcoat and pocket square. The clan was rounded out by Princess Anne (74), Prince Edward (61), Duchess Sophie (60), and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
This vintage social soiree, dating back to the 1860s, offers the monarch a chance to thank outstanding community members for their hard work and dedicate time to honoring public service. Around 30,000 lucky recipients are invited to these garden gatherings each spring.
Guests start filing in at 3 pm local time, with the official festivities commencing an hour later, when the royal family arrives, and the military band belts out the national anthem. Music, tea, and crumpets are then served for the peeps to nosh on while taking in the picturesque scenery or engaging in chatty sessions with one of the royals.
