Construction of DFI indicators begins at Löhr-Center bus station, causing partial bus station closure during construction phase
Upcoming Changes at Koblenz's "Bf Stadtmitte/Loehr-Center" Bus Station
starting on August 19, 2024, Koblenz local transit authority, koveb, will be installing new digital display screens at the "Bf Stadtmitte/Loehr-Center" bus station. During the installation, there will be partial closures of the bus station area to ensure safety and allow for the setup of the new screens.
The closures are expected to last for approximately two weeks, with the installation work scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2024. During this time, some bus stops might be temporarily relocated or have adjusted access routes, and passengers are advised to follow posted signage and instructions from transit staff.
Platforms A, B, C will remain open during the closure. The displays will provide real-time bus departure times and transfer information, making it easier for passengers to navigate the station.
In November, there will be another partial closure of the "Bf Stadtmitte/Loehr-Center" bus station, from November 18 to approximately November 22, 2024. During this time, several lines will be affected:
- Line 9 towards Hauptbahnhof will board and alight at the outer platform in front of the Loehr-Center on Hohenfelder Straße.
- Line 4/14 towards Hauptbahnhof will also board and alight at the outer platform in front of the Loehr-Center on Hohenfelder Straße.
- Line 2/12 towards Wallersheim/Kesselheim will board and alight at platform C instead of F.
- Line 3/13 towards Guels will board and alight at platform B instead of E.
- Line 7 will board and alight at platform C.
- Line 5/15 towards Metternich will board and alight at platform B.
- Line 10 towards Arzheim will board and alight at platform A.
koveb will set up temporary bus stops in front of the Loehr-Center for affected lines. Night Bus Line N3 will board and alight at platform B, while Night Bus Line N7 will board and alight at platform C. Night Bus Line N6 continues to board and alight at platform A.
The displays will be mounted on the ceiling of the bus station, providing clear visibility for all passengers. For more specific daily closure times or alternate bus stop information, passengers are advised to check with Koblenz local transit announcements closer to the start date.
