Construction completed in Almaty's Turksib district: spacious home for a substantial family
A large family in Almaty, who have traditionally lived by chopping wood and lighting stoves for heating during the winter season, has been given a new home by caring residents.
The mother of the family, who is disabled along with her sons, expressed her joy at the news. The new home was built as a result of charitable efforts, aiming to improve the living conditions of large families facing housing difficulties.
The handover ceremony for the family's new home was attended by local authorities, community representatives, and the benefactors themselves.
In the Turksib district, efforts to expand gas infrastructure are ongoing. As of this year, 918 homes with stove heating have been recorded. Half of these homes have been connected to blue fuel, a significant step towards modernising heating systems in the district.
However, 300 homes still rely on stove heating and have yet to be connected to the gas network. Aidos Beketaev, head of the apparatus of the Turksib district akim, explained that the reasons for this include lack of readiness, illegality, or incomplete internal networks.
Despite these challenges, local authorities are committed to continuing the gasification of private homes in the Turksib district. In fact, just a month ago, investors connected 15 needy families, including the large family mentioned earlier, to blue fuel for free.
This assistance was not limited to the large family, but was also extended to 14 other needy families in the Nurshakhan microdistrict. As a result, these families will celebrate the upcoming holidays in warm, spacious homes, no longer relying on traditional heating methods.
Local journalists Aidana Nurasheva and Murat Tailyanov have been reporting on the situation in Almaty, highlighting the ongoing efforts to improve living conditions for families in need.
Kind-hearted individuals and businesses in Almaty continue to offer help to families in need, demonstrating the city's compassionate spirit.
The large family, now residing in their new home, eagerly looks forward to a modernized lifestyle, bidding farewell to traditional home-and-garden practices. Local authorities, determined to improve living conditions, are also working on expanding gas infrastructure in the Turksib district to bring more homes into the modern home-and-garden realm.
