"Cologne hosts its first 'Coffee with a Cop' event, a widely recognized initiative, on Ebertplatz"
The city of Cologne is set to host a special event aimed at fostering understanding and trust between citizens and the police force. The "Coffee with a Cop" event will take place at Ebertplatz on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Minister of the Interior, Herbert Reul, and Police President Johannes Hermanns will be in attendance, personally supporting the event on-site. A special vintage truck will offer coffee, hot chocolate, and tea for visitors, with whipped cream available for the little ones.
The purpose of the event is to break down prejudices, fears, and barriers, and to get to know the people behind the uniforms. Police officers will be available for citizens to exchange ideas and talk about a variety of topics, including questions, tips, and interest in the police profession.
The "Coffee with a Cop" event originated in the USA and has since been adopted by police departments worldwide. It is an opportunity for the community to engage with their local police force in a relaxed and informal setting.

We invite everyone to come out and join us for a cup of coffee and a friendly conversation with our local police force. Let's build a stronger community together!
