City's Garden Office Hosts Open House Day with Butterfly Exhibit & Activities
The city's garden office is hosting an open house day this Sunday, September 28, from 10 am to 4 pm. The event, titled 'Earth Day', is packed with activities for all ages at Nilkheimer Hof, Großostheimer Straße 201.
Visitors can explore an apprentice's workstation and even try their hand at tractor driving. Food and drinks will be available throughout the day to keep everyone energised.
The highlight of the event is the 'Butterfly Exhibit', organised by Il Crogiuolo and Animus Teatro di Selargius as part of the Teatro di Terra Festival. This exhibit, under the artistic direction of Rita Atzeri, will be on display in the Cardu Butterfly Garden in Quartucciu.
Guided tours of the nursery and Nilkheimer Park are scheduled for 10:30, 12:30, and 2:30 pm. Additionally, a sheep enclosure will be accessible for viewing.
A raffle is also part of the day's activities, adding an element of excitement and fun.
