City residents invited for discussions and recreational sports activities in all districts - Bergisch Gladbach encourages interaction

In the vibrant city of Bergisch Gladbach, a series of events known as the "Citizen Dialogues" is set to take place, with the primary focus on discussing and improving play and leisure areas across the city.

The dialogue series aims to bring together residents, local authorities, and community groups to assess the current state of playgrounds and leisure facilities in each district and discuss possible improvements. The discussions will cover aspects such as safety, accessibility, equipment quality, green spaces, and inclusive design for all age groups.

The events will take place in each of the six administrative districts of Bergisch Gladbach, starting on August 30, 2025, in Hebborn. District 1's event will be held on September 14, 2025, at Schildgen, Dorfplatz, followed by District 2 in Hebborn at Spielplatz Weizenfeld on August 30, 2025, from 2 PM to 6 PM. District 3's event will be held in Herrenstrunden at Bücheler Weg on October 12, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. District 4's event will take place in Herkenrath at Bolzplatz Ball and Kierdorfer Feld on October 26, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. District 5's event will be held in Kaule at Spielplatz "Reiser/ Im Monsröttchen" on November 2, 2025, and District 6's event will take place in Refrath at Wallburg on November 16, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

The events are open forums for suggestions, criticism, and ideas regarding livable and intergenerational play and leisure areas. Interested citizens can contact the Children, Youth, and Family Promotion Department to participate. Committed neighbors will also present their voluntary work in the neighborhoods at the events.

The series will not focus on large-scale construction projects but rather on "smart improvements." The Spielmobil of the Mehrgenerationenhaus will provide a colorful program for children at the events, ensuring that everyone, regardless of age, can actively participate in the discussions. Refreshments will be provided at the events to keep attendees energized throughout the day.

For detailed and updated information on the citizen dialogues in Bergisch Gladbach about play and leisure areas, I recommend checking the official Bergisch Gladbach city website, local government communications, or community bulletin boards where announcements and summaries of these public discussions are usually published.

  1. During the "Citizen Dialogues" in Bergisch Gladbach, discussions will extend beyond playgrounds and leisure facilities to include suggestions for enhancing home-and-garden spaces that promote a livable lifestyle for all ages.
  2. After the engaging discussions on play and leisure areas, residents are encouraged to explore ways to implement lifestyle changes that embrace a home-and-garden environment that is both safe and inclusive for various age groups.
