Bloom & Bricks: Sustainable Living Takes Shape in Hamburg's Winterhude

A new residential quarter, 'Bloom & Bricks', is taking shape in Hamburg's Winterhude district. The quarter, being built on a 5,400 square meter site in the former Alstervorland, will offer a mix of compact and spacious apartments, along with sustainable design features.

The quarter, bounded by Poßmoorweg, Heidberg, and Krohnskamp, will comprise 124 owner-occupied apartments. These will range from 27 square meter compact units to 250 square meter family apartments. APB Architects, focusing on sustainable construction, is designing the project. The quarter will boast brick facades, modern balconies, and green inner courtyards, including a versatile play area.

Penthouses with roof terraces will also be available. The quarter aims to combine brick architecture with modern technology and ecological responsibility. While specific sizes of communal spaces and commercial areas are not mentioned, it is known that there will be a communal room for residents and retail spaces.

By 2027, 'Bloom & Bricks' will offer a blend of urban living and green spaces. With its focus on sustainability and varied apartment sizes, it promises to be an attractive addition to Hamburg's Winterhude district.
