Bicycles and assorted items to be sold at an auction in Dusseldorf on June 30th
In the heart of Düsseldorf, the municipal lost and found office is set to hold an auction on June 30, 2025, at 9 AM. The auction will take place at Erkrather Straße 1-3, and will feature a variety of items including near-new children's clothing, various hand tools, and around 20 bicycles of the brands Gazelle, Cube, or KTM.
The auctioned bicycles and other items come without warranty, as they are sold in their current condition. Interested parties are advised to carefully inspect any items before making a purchase. Viewing of the items will be possible from 8:30 AM on the day of the auction.
If a property is found in the auction list, ownership claims can be asserted online immediately. Upon the hammer falling, the item becomes the property of the highest bidder. It's important to note that if the owner of a found item can be determined, a written notification will be sent by the lost and found office.
Found items can be kept privately if reported to the lost and found office and a storage fee will not be charged. Regular checking of the list is advisable.
For those interested in found animals, the Düsseldorf Animal Protection Association can mediate potential new owners.
The lost and found office is open on Mo, Mi, Do, and Fr from 8 to 12:30 PM, and on Mo and Mi from 1:30 to 3 PM. The office is currently closed on Tuesdays.
For more information, citizens can view a list of found items online or contact the lost and found office at 0211-8993285. Loss or found reports can be sent to [email protected] at any time.
It's worth noting that while similar items are commonly available in retail sales and discounts in Düsseldorf, this auction is unique as it offers found items. For detailed auction information, consulting Düsseldorf city’s official lost and found auction listings or contacting local auction houses directly would be advisable.
Once the deadline passes, a written notification will be sent to the finder if they wish to retrieve the item. If the owner of a found item cannot be determined after six months, the item can be retrieved by the finder.
For those who find an animal, information about animal mediation can be found on the website of the Düsseldorf Animal Protection Association.
