Archery equipment counted for the initial time in Almaty
In a significant step towards understanding and maintaining the city's water infrastructure, the Green Economy Department of Almaty conducted an inventory of the city's irrigation system for the first time. This initiative was spearheaded by Natalia Livinskaya, the department's head.
The comprehensive inventory, which was held online at RCSC Almaty, revealed some key details about Almaty's irrigation system. The total length of the irrigation channels in the city is an impressive 1525 km. Of this, 245 km can be found within residential courtyards, 60 km are in park zones, and 1138 km are under the jurisdiction of district akimats.
While the inventory provided valuable insights, it did not offer specific solutions for the problems that may exist within the irrigation system. Despite this, the briefing served as a summary of the work carried out by the Green Economy Department in 2020.
The information regarding this significant event was reported by Almaty.tv, highlighting the importance of transparency and public awareness in such matters. As the city continues to grow and develop, the maintenance and improvement of its irrigation system will play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability and livability of Almaty.
