Anniversary Celebration of Decades-Long Holiday Tradition in Gütersloh by Miele Foundation - More Success to Come
The city of Gütersloh is gearing up for another exciting season of holiday games, with registrations opening on Monday, September 15th, 2025. For half a century, the Miele Foundation has been a key supporter of these events, providing free, diverse, and unforgettable holiday moments for children and young people.
Last summer, the holiday games offered a comprehensive programme for children and young people, with numerous actions, outings, and creative offers. This tradition will continue in the autumn, as the programme goes online on September 15th at www.ourwebsite.ferienspiele.
Registration for the autumn holiday games is initially possible until Thursday, September 25th, followed by a draw for places. Interested parties can find more information and register on the official website. For questions or other concerns, they can contact the municipal department of youth and family at Nadine Becker-Kleinemas, telephone: 05241 / 82-3333, or by email at frnsplgtrslhd.
During the summer holiday games, young participants aged 8 to 12 created land art projects in the Rhedaer Forest using natural materials. Older children, aged 10 and up, had a trip to Paderborn Airport, where they observed take-offs and landings up close. Young visitors aged 12 and up had a technical adventure at the Miele company's training workshop, learning about electronics and metal.
Meanwhile, the course "The Forest and Its Culture" allowed children to playfully understand the diversity of nature. These activities, along with the variety of others during the summer holiday games, ensured that there was something for every taste and inclination.
The holiday games have provided numerous generations with unforgettable holiday moments, and the Miele Foundation has been instrumental in making these experiences possible for children and young people in Gütersloh. We look forward to another exciting season of holiday games in the city this autumn!
