In a heartwarming display of community engagement, Faller Packaging and Wisdom Olbernhau have collaborated to create unique play equipment for the Märchenwald Forest Kindergarten in Weil am Rhein.

As part of Faller Packaging's "Social Commitment" project, their apprentices designed and constructed two distinctive projects: a water marble run and a "forest car." The water marble run encourages sensory play and an understanding of water flow dynamics, while the forest car stimulates imaginative play and outdoor adventure.

The projects were funded with 750 euros from Faller Packaging's company budget, with additional support from a material donation from Wisdom Olbernhau. The handover ceremony, held at the Weil am Rhein City Administration, marked the completion of the play equipment construction.

During the ceremony, the children at Märchenwald Forest Kindergarten helped with the final work on their new play equipment, and educators, children, city administration, and the apprentices gathered to celebrate the occasion. The children's picture, created as a gesture of gratitude for the new play equipment, was presented to the apprentices as a token of appreciation.

The new play equipment has already been put to good use, with the children immediately testing their new water marble run and forest car after its completion. The collaborative effort between Faller Packaging, Wisdom Olbernhau, and the kindergarten has created a vibrant and engaging learning and play space for the children at Märchenwald Forest Kindergarten.

This project is a shining example of a community-driven approach to enriching early childhood education through practical, hands-on apprentice projects. It demonstrates the power of collaboration in creating innovative solutions that benefit both the apprentices and the children they serve.

The unique play equipment, consisting of a water marble run and a forest car, significantly enhance the lifestyle of the children at Märchenwald Forest Kindergarten, offering sensory and imaginative experiences within their home-and-garden environment. This project, rooted in community engagement, serves as a model for future collaborations that seamlessly blend educational and play elements.
