Almaty Honours Medical Heroes with Monument and Pine Trees
Almaty honoured its medical heroes on Thanksgiving Day. A monument was unveiled, and new pine trees were planted in their honour. The city's mayor, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, attended the event, held in front of the Kazakh National Medical University.
The Kazakhstani Union of Writers played a role in the monument's unveiling. It stands as a tribute to the doctors who fought like warriors during the pandemic. The 7th city hospital also played a significant role, treating over 1400 patients. The event recognised the dedication and life-saving work of medical professionals.
New pine trees were planted at the same location as the monument, serving as a lasting reminder of the city's gratitude towards its medical workers. The event was a symbol of appreciation for the doctors' tireless efforts during the pandemic.
